The deadline to register is Friday, March 20th, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Please note that this is the Friday of March Break.

Welcome to the 2026 Northwestern Ontario Regional Science Fair!
We are thrilled to announce that the 62nd Northwestern Ontario Regional Science Fair will again take place in hybrid format! The in-person component of this year’s fair will take place at Lakehead University on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026. Virtual fair participants will be contacted to schedule virtual judging after submitting their registration.
Our Competitive Fair (grades 7 to 12 participants) includes 6 awards to participate at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) happening in Edmonton, Alberta from May 23rd to May 30th, 2026. Our non-competitive Beginner Fair (grades 4 to 6 participants) is also open to all who wish to participate!
Projects in both English and French are encouraged and welcomed to register.
The registration fees for this year’s Fair are listed below:
- In-person participants at Lakehead University ($40 fee)
- Virtual participants ($25 fee)
