In collaboration with WWEST<\/a>,
at the University of British Columbia Okanagan,
planning has begun on our second annual Regional STEM Fair
tentative fair date is April 9,2027<\/h3>\r\n

The 2026 Regional STEM Fair had 45 Projects, 75 students, and 2 finalists traveled to the 2026 Canada Wide Science Fair!

The Okanagan Shuswap Regional STEM Fair is affiliated Youth Science Canada as a selection fair to attend the Canada Wide Science Fair.\u00a0 The OSSTEM Regional Fair is open to students from grades 3-12, attending public schools, FNSA affiliated schools, Independent Schools, and home-schools, living within the region\u2019s communities that correspond to School Districts 19, 22, 23, 53, 67, and 83.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Science\/Technology fairs are a chance for students to work on a project related to some aspect of science, typically an experiment, innovation or study.\u00a0 The students\u2019 work are presented at a science fair and are evaluated on scientific thought, originality, understanding, and the exhibit itself.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The best projects in each category are given awards and the best projects in the fair will move on to the Canada-Wide Science Fair<\/a>, all expenses paid. CWSF 2027 will be held in Hamilton, Ontario from May 29th to June 5, 2027.<\/p>\r\n
